The Alpha Course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. It provides a relaxed and informal opportunity for participants to make up their own minds about Christianity. We’ve been running Alpha courses with the support of the churches in Totnes for some years now; and for many local people it’s been their first contact with the Christian faith.
Each week we have supper together. Then there’s a talk about some aspect of the Christian faith, after which we break into small discussion groups. The good thing about the small groups is that we can say anything, express any point of view. Alpha positively welcomes everyone: people with no faith, some faith, as well as once-a-year church-goers.
Evening Alpha
The 2008 course starts on 24 September with an introductory Supper Party - food, music and an after dinner talk. You're very welcome to come along and see what it's all about! 7pm at Totnes United Free Church.
