The Alpha Course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. It provides a relaxed and informal opportunity for participants to make up their own minds about Christianity. We’ve been running Alpha courses in Totnes for some years now; and for many local people it’s been their first contact with the Christian faith.
Food is an important part of Alpha; we start the evening course with a meal , and thenthere’s a talk about some aspect of the Christian faith, after which we break into discussion groups. The good thing about the small groups is that we can say anything, express any point of view. Alpha positively welcomes everyone: people with no faith, some faith, as well as once-a-year church-goers.
Alpha 2010
The 2010 course starts on 29 September with an introductory Banquet- food, music and an after dinner talk. Please ring us to book your place. You're very welcome to come along and see what it's all about! 7pm at Totnes United Free Church. Then :
Evening Alpha Course
We meet on Wednesdays at 7pm. The course starts on Wednesday 6 October and finishes Wednesday 15 December.
